Car Accidents
Minnesota Car Accident Lawyer & Attorney
The majority of personal injury cases we handle were caused by an automobile crash. This is not surprising when you consider the number of automobile accidents in the United States. In 2009, almost 34,000 Americans were killed and over 2.1 million were injured in automobile collisions. Some of those injuries may not have been apparent at the scene of the accident, as it has been our experience that injuries that appear minor at first sometimes become a serious and permanent problem.
If you have been involved in a car accident, you have a right to certain benefits including medical bills and lost wages. You are even entitled to some benefits if you caused the accident. See What are “No-Fault” Benefits? If the crash was caused by the negligence of someone else, you may also be entitled to compensation for your pain and suffering. See Do I have a claim against the other driver for my injuries?
To determine whether a driver was negligent in causing a collision, we often have to conduct an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Sometimes what is written on the accident report is not a true depiction of what happened. We have won cases even when the responding police officer initially attributed 100% fault for the accident to our client.
